ance has always been at the heart of Hmong New Year celebrations—an expression of resilience, beauty, and community. One of the most empowering and engaging showcases across the nation, Hmong dance competitions continue to inspire, uplift, and energize audiences of all ages.
This year, the Eau Claire Hmong New Year Committee is proud to host the Hmong All Star Dance Championship—and registration is officially open. We’re inviting dance teams from near and far to compete, connect, and celebrate our vibrant culture through movement and performance.

Location: Sonnentag Event Center, Eau Claire, WI
Three Divisions. Cash Prizes. High Energy.
All Star Elite Division (Average age 15 and older)
1st Place: $2000
2nd Place: $1500
3rd Place: $800
Registration Fee: $150
Minimum: 10 teams | Maximum: 15 teams
Rising Star Division (Average age 11–14)
1st Place: $1000
2nd Place: $500
3rd Place: $300
Registration Fee: $100
Minimum: 10 teams | Maximum: 15 teams
Mini-Star Division (Average age 10 and younger)
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $150
Registration Fee: $50
Minimum: 6 teams | Maximum: 15 teams
