In 1976, the first Hmong family settled in Eau Claire, laying the foundation for a community built on resilience, family, hard work, and hope. From those humble beginnings, the Hmong community has grown into a vibrant part of the Chippewa Valley—contributing through business, education, healthcare, leadership, the arts, and countless acts of service.
The Eau Claire Hmong New Year celebrates that journey. It is more than a cultural celebration—it is a reflection of where we came from, a celebration of how far we have come, and an inspiration for where we are going.
