A Collective Project

What is this Project?

The Eau Claire Hmong New Year Committee invites you to share your old family photos to be featured at this year’s celebration.

This special photo collection will honor 49 years since Hmong families first began settling in the U.S.—and for many, Eau Claire was the place they called home.

Your photos—whether from everyday life, past New Year celebrations, or your family’s early years—help tell a story that deserves to be remembered. They reflect where we began, the strength of our journey, and the traditions we continue to carry forward.

By sharing your memories, you’re helping preserve the legacy of our community for future generations to see and feel proud of.

Why this project?

Your photos hold our stories. They remind us of where we began, the sacrifices made, the joy we found in new beginnings, and the traditions we’ve kept alive.

By sharing your photos, you’re helping us honor our elders, remember those who came before us, and show the next generation the strength and beauty of our journey.
